YARN-BOMBING IS LITERALLY HITLER.
I’m sure twee white kids stalk the streets looking to oppress us poor POC with YARN.
IT’S LIKE WEST SIDE STORY WITH YARN

These are the faces of oppression.

Look at this colonized property. Much classism. Such gentrification.

Non-purpose galore.
LMAO look at all those generalizations wrapped up in generalizations that fcked each other and had more generalizations come out of their hoohas. Public art is public art omg. It can make things nicer or not.
Okay not gonna lie, I’ve done some vandalizing and graffiti myself, although mine was pretty sucky lol, and yeah, there’s probably a racial element, non-white people probably are treated worse over stuff like this, although I never thought of it like that and find that depressing, but yarn is also much easier to remove. Spray paint can degrade material like limestone and be poisonous, while yarn is biodegradable. Plus, it’s really racist to associate graffiti with non-white people and yarn with white people, even if it correlates. Bitch please, I could knit me up some sexy ass mittens if you gave me the time and enough thread.
Plus, if yarn-bombing is a sign of gentrification, that means steps can be taken to help the lower-income residents who could be driven out otherwise. What happens to a neighborhood aesthetically doesn’t have to affect it’s residents in any way except positively, so long as social remedies are in place, like subdsidized equity buy outs for lower income residents with help from the government and so on. You don’t fix problems by stopping art and YARN LMAO.
I’m starting to think this person is some kind of weird theory troll…
